Extra Virgin Olive Oil - cold extraction - 250ml
Extra virgin Olive Oil of superior category, obtained only from wild olive trees that grow in our estate, solely by mechanical and traditional means, and is a product of cold extraction (at 21oC)!
Each bottle contains a single ingredient: 100% Natural Greek Olive Oil of the lowest acidity (under 0.8%, which classifies our oil as extra virgin per Commission Regulation [EEC] No 2568/91) and an intense aroma and taste. Always coming from a single estate, so that we can even pinpoint on a map the exact olive trees from where the olives producing your olive oil were first picked at if you ask us. Never adulterated, never extra processed, never mixed (even with olive trees from nearby, different estates owned by the same producers). Our Olives are never stored in the olive press and our Olive Oil is always obtained at the harvest day.
Our Olive Oil is certified by the Department of Pharmacology & Natural Products Chemistry at the University of Athens, Greece, and the World Olive Center for Health. According to this (available to our customers), the daily consumption of 20g of our Olive Oil provides a substantial amount of natural antioxidants that protect blood lipids from oxidative stress. Our Olive Oil also contains natural biological compounds (oleocanthal and oleacein) that have been associated with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and neuroprotective activity. Our farmers have over 20 years’ experience on a traditional small scale family business.
Available in bottles of 250ml and 500ml, harvested in late November 2019.
Our Olive Oil is best enjoyed within 2 years of its harvest date and is best kept in a cool, shaded place.
